Rusty Wallace's 5th annual pins and fins tournament presented by Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa

The MVP Foundation, prolanthropy(JANUARY, 2012) – Rusty Wallace hosted the 5th Annual Celebrity Pins & Fins Tournament presented by Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa benefiting The MVP Foundation from January 5th to January 8th. Celebrities and guests were transported to the award winning Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa for a four day, three night adventure that featured some of the world’s top golf and best offshore sport fishing.

This year’s celebrity captains included: NASCAR Champion Rusty Wallace, Baseball Hall of Fame Member Wade Boggs, Basketball Hall of Fame Member John Havlicek and Super Bowl MVP Jim McMahon.

On Thursday, January 5th guests arrived at the beautiful Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort & Spa and enjoyed a welcome party at Villa Las Palmas, Rusty Wallace’s vacation home where guests indulged in festive food and drinks. On the following morning, guests were invited to participate in the ‘PINS’ Tournament by playing  18 holes at CABO REAL Golf Club.  Afterwards, guests arrived at Pueblo Bonito’s Montecristo Estates to see a remarkable sunset view and pool side four course dinner. 

On Saturday, celebrities and guests participated in the ‘Fins’ Tournament where teams of four guests were paired with a celebrity to compete head-to-head on the water for the title of ‘Pins and Fins Champion’.  After an exciting day of fishing, guests celebrated their last night with an awards dinner at Hacienda Cocina y Cantina where we crowned Wade Boggs and his four sportsmen as the 2012 ‘Pins and Fins’ Champions!

The tournament benefitted The MVP Foundation which has impacted the lives of more than 350,000 children throughout Arizona and Cabo San Lucas by providing opportunities, support and resources to children and families in need.  The MVP Foundation reaches the children in Cabo and Mexico through its’ partnership with the Letty Coppel Foundation.  Pueblo Bonito Group’s, Letty Coppel Foundation was established to ensure the company’s growth benefits the quality of life of its’ employees and its communities.
